Tom Keenig bastelt seit Anfang 2005 an seinen TKBeatz. Zu Beginn ausschliesslich mit dem Kork Triton und ausschliesslich im NWU Studio. Doch mit der Zeit wurde der Drang zuhause musizieren zu koennen so gross, dass er sich ein kleines, aus verschiedenen Geraeten zusammengewuerfeltes Heimstudio aufbaute.
Seit 2007 wird in der Burg Keenig unter anderem mit der Software Reason und Cubase und den Geraeten MPC2000, Kork M1 und Yamaha RS7000 an den TKBeatz getueftelt, geschnitten, gebastelt etc.
Die bevorzugten Musikrichtungen der Samples reichen von klassischer Musik ueber Jazz, Funk, Blues, Swing und Gospel bis zu Rock und Pop.
Dass Tom stark von den 90er-Jahren gepraegt wurde, ist an seinen Instrumentals hoerbar.
Er wuenscht sich, dass der Geist der Classic-Beatz noch für laengere Zeit erhalten bleibt.
Tom Keenig ist nach wie vor seinem Stil treu geblieben und wird dies auch bleiben.
